The ice cream truck has nothing on these! The perfect summer snack without all of the artificial color and sugar. So much flavor and super filling. You'll have every kid on the block knocking at your door for these banana pops!
Ingredients (serves 8) 4 bananas, peeled and halved ½ cup dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao), melted 2 tbs All Natural Almond Butter ½ cup chopped nuts(almonds/walnuts/pistachio) Optional: Popsicle sticks
Peel and halve bananas.
Insert Popsicle sticks into each banana half and place on a lined cookie sheet or plate.
Place chocolate and almond butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring in between each heating. Be careful not to overheat since this burns the chocolate. Set aside to cool for approx. 2 minutes.
Dip banana into the melted chocolate-almond butter mixture and using a spoon, pour the mixture over the banana to coat as you please.
If using chopped almonds/walnuts/pistachios, immediately sprinkle onto chocolate before it sets.
Chill chocolate-covered bananas for approx. 10 minutes.
